North West UNISON is again organising an international zone at the Manchester TUC May Day Festival on Saturday, 30TH April at the Mechanics Institute, 103 Princess St., Manchester M1 6DD – the birthplace of the TUC.

The day begins at 11:45am  with a rally in Whitworth Park, followed by a May Day March at 12:15 (see below link and attached flyer for further details)

The international sessions will run from 13:30pm to 16:30pm in the Peterloo Room at the Mechanics Institute. We  have organised three excellent sessions on a range of important international topics:

14:30     TTIP and CETA: The fightback continues! – John Hilary, Director, War on Want and Laura Williams, Global Justice Now

15:30     PALESTINE – Haya Alfarra, Palestinian Mission and Hugh Lanning, Chair, Palestine Solidarity Campaign

I have attached a poster/flyer for the Festival, including timings. The bar will be open all day, there’s also tea and coffee, and the Real Junk Food Project will provide ‘pay-as-you-feel’ food in Sackville Gardens. There will be music and entertainment from 20:30:
