It’s back!  HeartUnions Week 2020

Up and down the UK workers will be celebrating being part of a union and the work they do to make our workplaces and communities fairer.

This year, the campaign theme for HeartUnions is standing against sexual harassment at work. Take action on sexual harassment, and use HeartUnions week to encourage non-members to get involved.

Look out for more details on the TUC’s website https://www.tuc.org.uk/heartunions

The LATUC and Blackburn TUC  will be holding a street stall in Blackburn town centre from 11:00 to 13:00 on Tuesday 11 February.  The stall will be sited on the King William Street pedestrianised area between Marks & Spencer and the NatWest Bank.  Please come along and support them.

Our Branch along with Blackburn TUC will be screening ‘Sorry We Missed you’ by Ken Loach, a powerful exploration of the contemporary world of work, the gig economy and the challenges faced by one family trying to hold it all together on Thursday 13th February at 5.30pm at the University Centre – contact the Branch office for tickets.

We are only as strong as our membership, tell your colleagues to sign up to UNISON.
