We will be hosting our first Organising Conference in the region on Saturday 22nd October, to bring together workplace reps and activists to share experiences, discuss what our responses should be and make sure we are a strong movement in workplaces across the North West. As agreed at our regional Executive, we want to encourage as much attendance as possible, as this will help shape our future work.
We have a range of speakers invited, from trade unions, the TUC and academics to discuss the problems and hear what unions are doing in the workplace to tackle them. The conference will be interactive, with speakers and workshops on the following topics:
- Union Membership
- Union Reps and Resources
- Trade Union Act
- Young Workers
- Collective Bargaining
- Defending existing terms and conditions
- Digital Campaigning
- One – To – One conversations
- Campaign Planning
A full agenda will be circulated shortly. Please encourage workplace reps and activists to register. They can do so, free of charge, here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/building-stronger-unions-in-the-north-west-registration-27323806240
